MY STORY

I am a Southern New Hampshire University undergraduate student. For the past two years I have been finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Communications through the continuing education program online and night classes.

This college experience has expanded my knowledge and skills class by class, but this Graphic Design class has given me and opportunity to combine my creativity, hard work, and skill into a product to showcase my abilities. The pieces I have produced have been in my "Off Hours" from working masonry construction full-time, being a husband and father, buying a house, and other classes.

Each piece I feel gives a different sneak peek into who I am. These pictures from top to bottom are my wife and I, our son, and our home that we will be closing on August 22, 2012. There will be more pieces to come...

CAREER GOALS

This class really opened my eyes to a career that I thought was way out of my league. I am no where near able to create something that is professional for a company, but if I dedicated more time and effort into this field I feel like I would be able to find an eventual career in it.

My current employment has been a comfort zone for me. I have been thinking of new career paths to get away from the unstable construction field, and have the ability to have less of a glass ceiling in my career.

I feel that I really chose the right college major. I have always prided myself on being well-rounded and Communication studies are relevant to every part of life. I look forward to exploring more careers as I continue my education, hoping to find my niche in one of them.
